Available are 1/3 and 1/2 sanding sheets of varying sizes and grits, each of which is designed for use with a few Makita Orbital Sanders, such as the following models: 9046, BO4900, 9045, BO3700, & 9036. These are also compatible with machines from other brands, should the dimensions match up exactly.

Orbital Sanders are easy-to-use and designed for ultra-smooth wood sanding, rounding over sharp edges, sanding off hardened wood putty, and knocking down dried coats of paint or varnish. Two spring-loaded clamps hold the sandpaper against the sander's flat, square / rectangular pad. The pad vibrates in tiny circles, or orbits, allowing you to sand in any direction.
