In 2014 Fein Power Tools will launch a new series of cordless and portable tools. This includes a range of cordless drill drivers, hammer drills, and impact wrenches that have been designed to provide powerful torque transfers for metalworking. There will also be eight four-speed cordless drills that feature brushless motor technology. All of these new power tools will feature metal gear heads, fiberglass reinforced, barrel motor housings, as well as dust-proof bearings and encapsulated electronics.
The company will also offer four two-speed, cordless hammer drills with a maximum torque of 2,212 inches/lb and 9,350 to 29,000 impacts per minute. Fein Power Tools will also introduce the Slugger® JHM portable magnetic drill. The 22lb, low-profile drill is designed for portable hole-making in metalworking applications. The drill features a 430 Watt, 680-RPM motor, and can is able to make 1.1875-inch diameter holes quickly. It includes an arbor for 0.75 inches, Weldon shank annular cutters, spring slug ejection, and uses a gravity fed coolant. As the drill is just 11 inches in height, it can fit into tight places. It is designed to be used in overhead and upside-down drilling due to its removable gravity fed coolant bottle. The aluminum frame comes with high-impact plastic inserts so it can withstand high production hole-making. All of the drill’s wiring is contained in order to prevent from snagging or getting caught when it is in a restricted area.
ESAB will introduce its new welding machine, called Warrior. It has been designed to operate perfectly in extreme hot and cold conditions and will be able to handle a wide variety of welding applications. Warrior is also going to be very easy to use thanks to its intuitive front control panel with a read anywhere display. The welding machine also features state of the art inverter technology that provides significant energy savings. ESAB report that they consulted and listened to expert welders from all over the world and designed a machine accordingly. Warrior should be able to provide superior starts with a very stable arc transfer that produces excellent weld finishes.
Also in 2014, the M.K. Morse Company will introduce new band saws, blades and power tool spares. This will include the Morse 811 portable band saw blade. It is designed for cutting a variety of sizes and types of materials with a single blade. This new blade will combine an aggressive tooth with a variable tooth pattern, which will help reduce vibration and increase its cutting speed. The tips of the blade’s teeth are made of high-speed steel, and the blade is 0.5 inches wide and 0.02 inches thick. It comes in a variety of blade sizes, and are suitable for corded and cordless portable band-saws.
